...visiting the pumpkin patch and experiencing the sites/sounds/smells for the very first time, for each of us (corn through your feet, shooting pumpkins out of a slingshot, going for a hay ride, jumping together on a huge trampoline).
...experiencing your little guy putting his hand in a pumpkin full of "gook-n-seeds" and actually loving it for the VERY first time, after all those years of trying to get him to touch the insides!
...experiencing your littlest one grossing out seeing her big brother put his hands inside the yucky pumpkin, when all we can get her to do is touch ONE seed!
...seeing their little faces light up when you put the first candle inside the pumpkin, turn off all the lights and "tah dah! glowing pumpkins!"
...trying to watch your favorite TV show when all of a sudden two little ghosts appear out of no where with heavy blankets on their little heads making creepy sounds, pretending to be very fearful ghosts..."Boo" they scream!
...tucking them in at night and smelling their sweet, unique, little smells each of their bodies own (the smell of puppy breath, sweat, baby smells, their lotion all combined into one special smell).
...getting to make Halloween costumes requested by each; Humpty Dumpty & Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and seeing how happy they are with the finished product, despite any flaw mama may have created.
...taking Halloween pictures of them dressed and thinking "they are the cutest kids ever!"
...hearing them say "I love you mama" out of the blue for no reason at all.
Accepting the role as parents for these precious gifts from God is one of the greatest gifts He's given me and daddy. So, what is a blessing? Waking up each morning to two of the most beautiful babies in the entire world. This is pure joy!
