I guess it was our last camping trip for 2009

Labor Day we took our final camping trip before having to weatherize the RV until Spring 2010! We asked Dad to hold out as long as he could, hoping we could find a free weekend and squeeze just one more get-a-way...but it looks like it may have been the final one...unless we can convince him to take us to White Sands, Valley of Fires, or the Bosque de Apache for weekend...hmmm???

We saw and learned about lava rock and how it can flow from lava vents in the ground vs. the traditional mountain volcano.

We played at Smokey's playground, which was so much fun...despite mom and dad getting dizzy from seeing who out of the 4 could swing the highest!

BFF's joined us! We had great cookouts, awesome campfires, amazing ghost stories, hilarious games, long walks, and tons of laughter/teasing/joking all weekend long!

Did I mention we had the best breakfasts every morning - compliments to the chefs!

We even went to a fun park and rode go-carts, and of course there was a huge debate about whose car was really the fastest and who really won!

...before we know it, we'll be back at it...

...travelin' in the "Four Winds!"

How can Summer go by so fast? We flew through ABQ in September, but only had time to visit a few folks. Sorry we missed you. I would have loved to have seen you and the kids. Next summer? Hope so!

You and your family look so happy!
