So, what's up with smelling the pumpkin this year? One absolutely disliked the smell and insisted that he was going to "puke!" The other savored the smell and she touched all the gooey insides!

Carving was fun. Dad had to do the bulk of the job and mom tried, but I busted out one of the eye lashes drawn on a pumpkin...yikes! Thank God Dad knew how to mend with toothpicks, thanks to his pre-kids days of endless nights carving perfect pumpkins!
As my son's former Kindergarten teacher pointed out, "this is the first year you didn't make their costumes?" Nope, I didn't. As much fun as I always have, it was sure nice to have a break this year! I think Cinderella and Transformer Bumble Bee look just as cute, regardless if homemade or not!

We spent time with family, attended a carnival, went door-to-door, had hotdogs at Grandma's, posole at the cousins, carne adovada at another cousins', and got to see almost all of the cousins! It was perfect that we fell back an hour on Halloween night. The extra hour of sleep was certainly needed.
