Celebration of 2014

Every year we go out for a nice dinner celebration.  This year we had a special dinner at Texas Roadhouse the Sunday before New Year's Eve cuz Daddy had to work all day.  The family request for for mama to whip up a special meal.  As long as I have the request, I am always ready to make dinner.  Started at noon and enjoyed the kitchen thoroughly this year.  Daddy was beyond happy to walk into a house that smelled like yeast and homemade bread that went along lovely with the two dishes I created from scratch.  Oh and also beyond happy that he had a homemade pecan pie.

We had a movie marathon.  Mom won the vote and got her way...we watched Despicable ME 2 that they bought me for Christmas.  Then we watched Disney's The Secret World of Arrietty.  That left us with time to dance and watch about 30 minutes of the countdown!

I held my boy in my arms on the couch as the ball fell and daddy had his baby girl in his arms... Daddy and I are the luckiest parents.

A toast to the New Year.  This year we celebrated with a homemade meal of fresh zuppa, linguine alfredo and homemade bread along with sparkling apple cider, of course!

My Sweet girl made sure we carried on the tradition of making a snack tray!

Snack boys?
Noise maker and hat ready to greet midnight!

15 minutes prior to midnight he thinks he's ready for bed...NOT!

This daddy was very ready for bed at 15 til midnight!

Not this one...she was ready to dance and party on!

We ALL made it.  Welcome 2014.  Kisses to all!

Fibbers! They are so faking it!

The majority of us slept til 9:04 a.m.

Then, it was time for mom to make another homemade pecan pie for my parents.

Oooo, then it was time for Daddy to assemble his creation for New Year's Day dinner!

Will this boring pork loin turn into something special?

Provolone, fresh garlic, sauteed stuffing mixture of sauteed mushrooms, onion, apple, garlic, apple juice, peanuts and fresh orange, and ground pepper...when put together I wonder what you'll get?
