My Kids Say the Sweetest Things...

This morning as we were rushing to get ready for school, my little guy runs in my room and asks for help tying his shoe lace. I casually mention that this really is something he needs to start doing and begin learning. His response was, "Can I ask God to do it?" I chuckled and he looked at me like and gave this, "why not?" look. I then told him that God can do everything, but He is not physically here, so it's difficult for Him to tie his shoe. His immediate response, "Well, can't He at least pretend?" Well, I guess He could pretend, couldn't He?

"Hode Ju!" I love it! It's one of those baby phrases you just hate to let go of and when they disappear it leaves a void. Our baby girl still asks us to "Hode Ju" when she want us to "Hold her." Recently she continued to insist that I "Hode Ju" and I wasn't able at the time so she proceeded to say, "Hold me, mama." Well, mama's attention was immediately gotten, and mama didn't care for that! I quickly told her she had to say, "Hode Ju" and that I would pick her up. Guess it's not the best grammar or lesson, but I can't let go of "Hode Ju!" ...not yet, anyway! Maybe when she begins to tie her shoes...then I will!
