The Love Dare

I had the perfect opportunity to watch Fireproof with my Valentine on Saturday night (2/14/09). Several of my dear friends shared with me earlier this year that they either went to see the movie or participated in the actual Love Dare. I wasn't quite sure what to expect. My sister had watched the movie a week before and was highly moved by the story line. So, I had received positive feedback, but wasn't quite sure about watching it or what to expect.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. At one point, I just had tears rolling down my face. It was one of those movies that just moves you, makes you realize what you have, makes you realize what you can do better as a spouse...makes you appreciate your spouse and your marriage.

There was one profound scene that talked about really loving a person. It's sometimes difficult to love --- until you know how, sometimes you just can't.

I think marriages need a good, little, "Love Dare" every now and then!
