What a great time we had! The preparation to leave was the smoothest it's ever been! All 4 almost equally contributed to the packing and loading and shopping. It was actually fun! We did the grocery shopping together and there was input from the little ones as to what we REALLY needed and what we didn't need! Each packed their own clothes this year! We left in record time that morning! We even got an extra night in of sleeping in the RV. The kids talked mamma into sleeping in it while parked in the yard and we did! 2 nights in the "forest" just wasn't going to be enough, we heard!
There was plenty to celebrate. It was our first camping trip of the season, it was our baby's 4 year Gotcha Day anniversary, camped for the first time w/the cousins, geocached, and even got to celebrate Mother's Day in the Manzanos. We had great meals and awesome campfires! Plus, it was cousin AA's 1st s'more!
We did 2 "official" hikes this trip. Our little Abby Girl was beat - it's hard on a chihuahuha's little legs! Our baby girl was the LEADER of the hikes and loved every moment of it.

The kids played with the "people" all weekend long!

The s'more was messy but oh, so yummy - mama had her share, that's for sure!
We had the opportunity to also learn about state's history by visit 2 amazing ruins. What a site and what a learning experience for our kids. At the 2nd ruin we actually felt like we walked back in time and had a chance to "pretend" we were those natives of the time.
Our kids were introduced to geocaching by the cousins...what fun! It was an adventure that was worth exploring and experiencing. I think we may be hooked!

I love my family...thanks for such a GREAT weekend!
