Our family was "Turned Loose" this past Sunday after church service. It was a great opportunity for us to make a difference and truly serve unconditionally. Although it was hard work, it was a blessing. Our kids got a taste of what it's like to serve with a joyful heart, even when temps are in high 90's and it's not so much fun pulling weeds and doing yucky yard work! Our family assisted with Mandy's Farm, a home dedicated to provide care for woman who are autistic.
If you go to WakeUpABQ, you'll certainly find a few familar faces (34, 35, 37, 43, 47, 50, 51, 62, 65, 66, 67, 77)as you peruse through the photos!
Two funny stories:
#1 Daddy had to go to the auto shop after our community work and the young man at the register asked if he was worried about getting hit by a car? Not sure what he meant by the statement and looking puzzled, the young guy commented that his yellow shirt would definitely keep a car from hitting him!
#2 This morning as the kids and I watering and pulling weeds for about 1 1/2 hours my little boy asks why we can't get people to come over do community service like we did on Sunday...there you have it! Why didn't I think of that!
Blessings to All!

Ah, wonderful lessons for us all to remember - helping your community!
We see a lot of that in Mexico. We think it is because they have never had many social services, so everyone helps their neighbors. A good way to live.
