This was the first time for both my babies! This was the first time Daddy and I attended with kids! We use to chase years ago (pre-kid days) and boy have things changed and has the crowd grown larger. It felt like a million people out on the last day of the fiesta, but what a gorgeous site! Waiting to park was a bit painful (for me, only, cuz I'm impatient), but daddy and kids didn't mind...the cousins were smart, they rode their bikes in and avoided all traffic.
The kids and their cousins quickly discovered that you can attack the balloon crew before they "lift off" and get their balloon trading card, so we were on a mission! Took a little away from the relaxing part of the outting, but what joy they experienced.
We each had our favorite balloon, of course, and were able to top off the morning with coffee, hot chocolate and breakfast burritos! I had forgotten how tired you get from getting up so early, so the afternoon nappies were well received by me and Daddy!
Kids can't wait to go next year, so I guess it's a date! They are hooked!

Oh, what a fun time! The pictures were beautiful! Lots of great ones to frame! I love the colors of the balloons! We miss not being there ourselves! you are BLESSED!
