Santa didn't bring our little girl the puppy she so desperately wanted and he had good reasons, according to the letter he left! However, she so sweetly informed us that that was okay, cuz now she wanted either a bunny or a goat!
So, we "casually" asked LT if they had extra babies, thinking that Easter would be a good time for a bunny! To our surprise, our kids were surprised with a late Christmas gift...an 8 week old baby boy bunny TODAY, 24 hrs after the initial casual request!
I might add that he's absolutely adorable! He sits on his new mama's lap like a puppy does and he has so far let her hold him like a baby and wrap him up in baby blankets. His new parents are not so excited to learn that he poops ALOT and pees too! But, they've had fun feeding his bunny food, lettuce and carrots! No wonder he's pooping guys!
Daddy wants nothing to do with it! He has promised to build us a bunny hutch, but has warned us that he will not clean up after Simon...ughh...that means it's probably up to mama?? Altho' new mama has made some pretty BIG promises to care for her bunny like no other!!!!
Welcome Simon!
So, Bunny Daddy's only held him twice and dropped him one of those two times (he wasn't hurt, Bunny Mama caught him!).
But, Bunny Mama can't STOP holding him...here are a few pics taken right after LT did the official "hand over!"

Congratulations on being a bunny owner! What FUN! I know the kids will have many fun years and sweet memories of having Simon as a pet! I think that is the coolest! A little girl was STAR STUDENT (at our elementary school) and her dad brought her bunny. He had on a harness and a leash. The kids all loved it and I thought her parents were the best! Good luck!!
