Day Two with Smokey!

We were hooked...had to go back!

This time the crew was much larger and less work (for me)...daddy still worked! The "flapping" and "dog paddling" technique used to get the air out of the tarp and fold it was so impressive with SO many crew! (see daddy?)

This was taken as she patiently waited for Smokey to inflate - we're pretty sure she wasn't awake yet!

Even though daddy worked, kids and I got to be part of the "chase!" The pilot brought the 1940 Smokey Fire Engine used for display at the balloon rallies and for chasing...we were asked to go chase and what a blast! Kids got to experience the real "chase!"

Here we are loading in the fire engine and pics taken en route:

Locating Smokey from the fire engine...we were right under him (and a few others...my boy had to snap this pic of the Remax right above us!):

Smokey finally landed...in the SAME spot as the day before! This time the take down went alot faster:

What it is about taking pics of balloons...it's addictive...am only posting a few of the MANY I took yesterday - you just can't get enough photos!
