Yankee Doodle Noodles

Yankee Doodle went to town A-riding on a pony,
Stuck a feather in his cap And called it macaroni'.

And with the girls be handy.

Today for lunch, my sweet boy attempted and succeeded in making this lovely dish for lunch. He found in one of the Kid Cookbooks I had laying around and what a delight this dish was!


YANKEE DOODLE NOODES (serves 6)

1. Put 2 c macaroni into boiling water; boil for 10 minutes (Sing all the verses of Yankee Doodle while the macaroni boils!)

2. Drain the macaroni

3. Stir in 1 (15 oz) can of stewed tomatoes and 1 TSP soy sauce

4. Sprinke with parmesan (or "parmage" if in our family!) cheese and eat

We did sing all the verses of Yankee Doodle (link to Wikipedia) while the egg noodles boiled...and it took 7 minutes...our jaws were hurting! And, he used medium egg noodles and Italian stewed tomatoes!
