(a chair fit for the Birthday King!)
(let the Whoopi cushion do it's thing!")
(take note of what the baby girl's holding!)
The kids had a plan of action for Daddy's birthday. We had to buy blue streamers, blue wrapping paper, a blue "birthday boy" pin, pin the tail on the donkey, a whoopi cushion, and vanilla ice-cream!Decorating started immediately after the girls baked his favorite pistachio bundt cake, sprinkled with yummy powered sugar. They wanted his recliner to be the Kings
Chair, so that's were the center of the decorating started. We have this cool birthdy blanket that they used to camo the whoopi, so that when they forced him to sit, we would get the real effect of the whoopi! Streamers were draped from the ceiling fan and looked awesome when the kids turned the fans on!
When he drove up, we HID! "Surprise" was shouted as he walked through our family room. He loved his decorations, he loved the whoopi (altho' we didn't quite get the full affect the 1st round!), he loved the donkey game and was very happy.
The celebration kicked off with a quick 2 rounds of pin the tail! Then, daddy opened 3 gifts and left 3 for after dinner. And what a fun dinner! He selected #4 of National Geographic's Top 10 burger places...Blake's Lotaburger! What fun and what perfect way to sit and talk and enjoy him.
We returned to finish off the next 2 rounds of pin the tail and open the final 3 gifts. Poppy/Gram Mijo came over to visit him too. The evening ended with cake and ice-cream and topped off with the kids laying in bed with Daddy as he wrapped up book 2 of Hunger Games...they snuggled alongside him reading their books too!
Happy Birthday Daddy...We know you had a blast and know you would have "TWO WORDS" to describe your day, huh?
Love, Us
Official Birthing Pinning!
Birthday Boy was such a sport when it came to his Birthday Game!
Altho' he didn't get close to the donkey's tail!
Two of his favorite birthday gifts, kids selected EACH gift and what a great job they did!
She was all smiles for her Daddy's Birthday, she couldn't hug him enough:
Eat up Daddy!
Who's hiding behind the #7?
Make a Wish Daddy!
What a lucky Birthday Boy...somehow I get the feeling this may have been the best part of his day, ending it with his two babies in each arm.
