(Group at Basilica Cathedral)
A really cool shop in plaza we all loved!
Our baby girls wasted NO time getting up REALLY early...they seemed to forget that we went to bed REALLY late...oh well, they didn't care!
Our room was the meeting room for breakfast the first morning. After gathering their favorites from the breakfast bar, they made themselves quite comfortable in mine and daddy's bed. While eating breakfast they giggled as they watched cartoons on HBO family!
My baby girl surprised the girls with matching shirts, bandanas and wrist/ankle bracelets! The perfect gift for the perfect little girls!
Picture of Precious Feet? Don't ask...
we just honored their picture request!
One more pose in hotel lobby before
heading out to the Plaza!
Our first stop on the Plaza was the
"Prayer Garden" - need I say more?
They come up with their own pose ideas,
I kid you not!
Strikingly BEAUTIFUL!
Shopping around the plaza can be a blast. The art and creativity in the shops is truly unique. I was able to catch a few photos of them looking, touching, smelling and holding hands!
The boys just went with the flow...and what troopers
they were while everyone hung out in the plaza!
And our 16yr old baby girl...she was a trooper too!
Check out the "low door!"
Along with plaza perusing, we also toured the Loretto Chapel and saw the miraculous staircase believed to have been built by St. Joseph. That was a real treat for all of us. A very peaceful environment. We each took a pew and listened and relaxed. Kids snapped some great pictures of the staircase and alter area! The Basilica Cathedral was a treat for the group. When we first arrived, it happened to be the funeral of a former NM Governor who had passed away, so media and people were around, but we returned later in the day to enjoy the peacefulness of a quiet cathedral w/o much interruptions.
We all agreed that The Shed is the best place to eat in Santa Fe. We heard it was on Diners, Dives and whatever...but I also heard it was on the HGTV, who knows...but wow. An amazing food experience. We'll definitely return. It took well over an hour to get our table, that's how popular the place is, but well worth our wait. Cheers to Blue Corn and their awesome posole! Yum Yum
FACES and TRADITIONS (on daddies' shoulders):
A friend of mine said it best after seeing this photo,
"You can tell how inseparable their love and bond is by the
way they are holding on to one another's hands."
So True.
After experiencing all we could handle in the downtown plaza of Santa Fe, NM and after spending what felt like "forever" in the only toy store in the plaza...we headed out. Daddy made sure the caravan experienced the view of Canyon Road...the artsy row of galleries and amazing sculptures.
This was the group's favorite...
Rock, Paper, Scissors!
The day was brought to a close by moms taking a late afternoon nap and dads lifeguarding the pool!
We all had dinner at Subway and Applebees and met back at the hotel for a late night swim for the girls. Everyone was extremely exhausted, so early to bed this time...was it 10:30? At least it wasn't midnight again!
Another Day Full of Blessings...
and the girls didn't want any part to end!
