"Sweet" Smiles!

Not sure which "peppermint candy" face, pose or smile is the sweetest!

So once upon a time, there were 4 Coffee Mamas who put their brains together after several months of coffee and came up with a brilliant idea to get our families together for school projects/activities.

This particular project involves community involvement. Our kids will create art that will serve as Christmas decorations for a local nursing home bulletin board that the residents truly enjoy perusing! Our theme is: "Have a SWEET Christmas!" Not only will they be creating and compiling bulletin board decorations over the next month 1/2, but the kids will also be learning Christmas songs to serenade the residents in December, as part of a field trip to the nursing home! It was fun to hear each one sing and suggest their personal "favorite" Christmas carol. In addition, they'll be hand-making lap blankets for the residents to comfortabley enjoy!

Sometimes it's easy to lose perspective on the real reason for Christmas. It doesn't take a whole lot to make a difference in lives. I'm anxious to see what our kids learn from this experience and what they'll take with them as they continue their journey, growing...

...watch for updates to the continuing "sweet" project!
