4th of July

My 4th started out with 2 cups of coffee!  While watering our yard in the early morning hour, I captured pictures of all the special blooms our yard was displaying this fresh, crisp morning of the 4th.  Daddy had a very early tee-time, but made sure to put out of flag and I couldn't resist taking pictures of it blowing in the air!

4th of July blooms:

My celebration kicked off with an afternoon date with my BFF.  An hour + of great conversation and always good laughs!  The celebration continued with auntie.  She treated us to a yummy dinner at Dion's.   The plan was to meet the rest of my siblings and other family at Isotopes park to see the Topes play, be entertained by orbit, eat yummy treats and watch fireworks!

4th of July family pictures before we leave for the fun at the ballgame:

These 2 were arm-in-arm from the moment we left in the car:

Well...the 1st 2 hours were spent in the rain!  We lasted as long as we could.  Finally it was agreed by all that it was time to give up!  We had wet kids, wet adults and only in the 2nd inning (game started late due to rain)...Uncle E-Ron invited the whole familia over to his casa to continue the celebrating.  No fireworks, but good conversation, hotdogs, chips and cookies...

This 4th of July she not only her her toes/fingers painted red/white/blue, but she ate her VERY 1st FUNNEL CAKE:

Rain-n-umbrellas seemed to be the theme at the game!

My baby girl and I stayed as dry as we could under our umbrella and posed...

...while the boys didn't use an umbrella!

AZ cousins had big smiles during the rain, while their dad stayed dry under a garbage bag?

And these boys had big smiles during the rain, while Auntie was texting?

Loved the last picture of the night.  Kids and Auntie fell asleep on the way home from ABQ...konked out, I'd say!  They missed the few glimpses of "illegal" fireworks daddy and I caught while driving home...and we're pretty sure they were way over the 10 ft. restriction placed on NM!
