El Dorado, Lamy, Galisteo and Madrid - our tour guide informed us we were traveling back home through the backside of Santa Fe and Sandia Mountains! New Mexico has amazing landscapes to see! Sometimes the camera just can't capture the beauty experienced! The above home entrance was taken in Lamy! We were careful not to blink, in case we missed Lamy!
Madrid, New Mexico! This was my favorite part of the entire trip - what a treat Madrid provided for our entire family. The shops are adorable and so very quaint. The merchants are very friendly and very welcoming, especially to children. My kids were in awe with all the creative artwork they saw! They each had their favorite piece of art and were very interested in the means by which they were created!

The very last shop, Weasel and Fitz (click here), was our ALL TIME favorite little shop! I particularly loved the recylcled typewriter rings - the shop featured art created by recycling every type of item imagineable!
So, 2 fun bits o' trivia about our travel destinations! Clint Eastwood's movie Any Which Way but Loose was filmed at the campground we stayed at AND Wild Hogs (John Travolta movie) was filmed in Madrid! So, there you have it!
As my little girl always says, "I'm sad to leave, but I know we'll be back, right Daddy?" This was one of those times ya just didn't want to end. Thanks, Daddy, for a "Awesome" and very "SpectaculAr" weekend! We love you lots, Us
