Last Day of August Devos!

Our morning devotions:

My baby boy's was first and was entitled, "Joy!"

What is Joy?

Is it the happiness that comes from feeling good?

Is it the excitement of doing what God wants?

Or is it simply knowing that I am
His-that Jesus loves me-and

that He is alive right inside my heart?

These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. John 15:11

My Baby Girl's was next entitled, "Love and Obey"

When you obey me you are living in my love...I have to so that you will be filled with my joy. John 15:10-11

What are some ways you show people you love them? 
Do you give them hugs or kisses? 
Or share your favorite toy? 
Or save them a seat at the table? 

Those are all great ways to show love. You can show you love for Jesus, too - but in a different way. Although you can't physically give Him a hug, you can do what He asks you to do. You can listen to your mom and dad, or you can comfort a hurting friend. When you obey Jesus, that's the best "hug" you can give Him.

Because I love Jesus, I want to obey. I'll do what He asks me to do every day.
