Only 100 years YOUNG!

Happy 100th - Grandma with her children!

Birthday girl turned a flashing 100 on April 12, 2014.  The pictures below reflect an afternoon full of smiles, hugs and tender memories created, memories tacked on to 100 years of immeasurable memories this one lady has tucked in her beautiful mind.  Enjoy the highlights!
These two cuties are reading a mini book, while family bustle about trying to get final details ready before 1:00pm!

Official pinning of the corsage!  I told her it felt like Prom Night for her and she just smiled as Au' Day laughs!

Perfection!  It's the best to have a chef/baker/artist in the family.  This year my 15 doz biscochitos complimented his piece of art in just the right way!  Oh my and the taste of the cake was beyond this world!

Family arriving, talking, laughing
and greeting one another (cameras
all snapping pics:

The dinner buffet was catered by a local BBQ restaurant and there was plenty of pulled pork, brisket, sausage, ribs, beans, coleslaw and warn peach and cherry cobbler to entice any appetite!  One of the littlest great granddaughters discovered ribs for the first time and she was HOOKED.  Somehow I have a feeling that's the memory she'll take from this 100 year celebration!

Fun pics of the food line and family eating together.  Wind didn't stop the gang from holding on to plate and table cloths!  Good conversation and many laughs, and a very comfortable environment!

Back in the day when it was only 13 grandchildren, we would fit in Grandma's garage.  This table is a tribute, no doubt, to the good ol' days of table in the garage!

Brother and Sister yappin' it up!
Cousins/baby sister combo.  Love the lighting on this picture, it really captures their beauty!

After a delightful lunch and visiting, it was time to sing to the beauty queen!  Once again, in today's technology, almost every grandchild, great grandchild, cousin, brother, sister, mom, dad, grandpa, and grandma had a smart phone snapping photos!   Check out the next blog that shares highlights of the formal cake singing, photo session and 100 year gift celebration!
