3rd day's a charm and burrr, so COLD. This meant for a day of layered shirts and jackets...nighttime even included a snow cap for a few with gloves!
Daddy left very early in the morning, which meant that mama didn't get her coffee made and brought to her in bed...BOO. However, he greeted us at the front door with 3 pretty large fish...he said he caught 6, but threw the other 3 back. He cooked them with butter, lime and purple onions...we all had a chance to sample that evening with warm corn tortillas. Very tasty!
Daddy also made his very FIRST fly! The lesson seemed very intense!
Does she always smile this goofy? YOU BET she does!
While the rest of the group is hanging out, these 3 are tucked away at Poppy's camp, all 3 warming up in the sun doing word searches and drinking Pepsi!
Time for the 4 of us to slip away and go for a drive...we found some interesting sights. We came across this castle in Antonito made out of cans and recycle material...we even found a website for this after-the-fact - guess it's called Cano's Castle!
The views as we drove over the mountain towards Chama were simply breath-taking. These pictures barely do any justice. So glad Daddy insisted on taking us...we even saw snow patches. This was where temps outside registered at 48 deg. BRRRRR
While these 2 watched a movies...
...these 3 played Scrabble (hope you boys let Gram Mijo win?)!
Campfire smiles (taken by our baby girl) "Say Cheese!"
Annual group picture, orchestrated by Daddy!
Some fun pictures of the gang enjoying our last night by Friend Shane's fire (btw, it was their turn to host):
Another attempt at Jiffy Pop! This time Daddy filmed the whole thing, hoping to catch that moment that would make us rich...nothing happened, except that we ate some pretty yummy popcorn, compared to the night before BURNT popcorn!
Time to change into jammies guys...
this is our last night...sorry, my baby girl!
