Our family loves Fall Vacationing! First question out of the kids' mouths was "Are we there yet?" And, we were only on Highway 6. We got asked all along the highway until we got to Interstate 40. Finally, Daddy asked them to ask that question at 11am when we anticipated hitting the AZ border...from that point, it continued...oh, the joy of having little ones.
First major pitstop, other than a coffee pitstop! A favorite stop of dad's when he was a kid - Fort Courage. It wasn't quite the way he remembered it, but we took the pics and visited the gift shop (and used the potty!). We even saw a real Hogan that we learned about in 4th grade NM History!
First day's destination is Williams, AZ...and we made successfully made it...thank you Jesus for safe travels! The KOA is so sweet...we have cable TV, heated pool, jacuzi, playground, and full hook-ups! Who could ask for more?
...and green chile cheese burgers for dinner! Daddy's cooking tonight, after a long day's drive! Thanks, Daddy! We sure love you lots!
P.S. This was how we ended our first night...by a "fake" propane fire pit the facilities had for guest use!
