Our afternoon kicked off with lunch and treats with Family School friends! The lunch of chicken quesadillas, homemade salsa, queso that was to die for, 'dogs, pasta salad and a bowl of fresh fruit was the ideal lunch for a bunch of hungry kids and their mamas!
Afternoon was filled with laughter of kids playing, moms/daughters polishing their nails and then dessert decorating!
Dessert???? 2 different batches of homemade sugar cookies, 1 batch of yummy chocolate brownies, white and chocolate cupcakes and white and chocolate ice-cream cone cupcakes! Here's the fun part...WE ALL got to decorate a plateful of each thanks to our bakery mom who made a fabulous butter cream frosting in fun colors with attractive sprinkles!
My "walkin' mamas" (they're nuts & brutal!)
Evening time came ever so quickly!
Official Halloween pics of my babies!
I think they're so darn cute!
Kids with their personal seamstress!
First stop was to see Auntie at the Pharmacy...kids asked what her costume was...duh,
ya think a Pharmacist?
Then, a few favorite pit stops to pick up our traditional homemade popcorn balls and king size candy bars and jerky! It's always a treat to visit my son's Kindergarten teacher (another tradition) which is always special.
We ended the evening at Gram Mijo's for a pizza party
(knock, knock, "trick or treat!")
This year she ordered a variety of pizzas and made a great salad and a chocolate cake with CREAM CHEESE frosting...yum! Always fun for the kids to spend time with the cousins...altho' this year was a bit sad...with 2 at college, the numbers in the photo are declining...we miss you Coby and Pappa!
("Red" and her 4 BIG BAD WOLVES!)
(my creepy-lookin' nephews chowin' down pizza!)
("Red" thought he was a "Pirate!" tee hee)
(what? you took her inside a Haunted House? R U Nuts?
Ur lucky you walked out FAST Uncle!)
("Red" is spoiled by the Uncles!
Here she's a "baby" in Uncle E-Ron's arms
Here she's a "baby" in Uncle E-Ron's arms
"Of course, she LOVES her family!")
With the older grandsons off to college, Gram Mijo officially turns over the job duty of distributing candy to the trick/treaters to my sweet boy! He's it and boy what an awesome job he did!
The evening comes to an early close with a floor-full of candy to pick-n-choose their favorites...and boy, does Gram Mijo know how to give favorites!
Nite Nite My sweet Little Red Riding Hood and My Phantom of the Opera! You make the holidays so memorable and so much fun to experience! Love you so much, mama
