Tonight was the night!
Our kids decided they wanted to commit to a 12-week play & choir rehearsal at church (every Wed. for 2 hours) for the annual Childrens Christmas Program. This meant LOOOONNNNG Wednesday nights, along with 2 Sunday 3.5 hr. dress rehearsals! But, they did it!
This past Sunday dress rehearsal was held for parents and we thought they did a great job. The original plan was that they wanted to audition for a solo part, but on the day of tryouts, they opted against it and stuck with choir. Well, it turned out, that was plenty and learning the music and hand movements was plenty for their first musical endeavor.
No pics were allowed on the night of the play, but parents were able to capture some at dress rehearsal...they are our shining little stars for sure!
Tonight was perfect - Congratulations kiddos on seeing your commitment through the end! Our family that joined us thought it was amazing! Here are pics after with family...oh, and we had PIE at Village Inn after, yum, the perfect way to end the night!
We got home REALLY late and kids konked out w/their glow stick wands from the performance and we had to capture the 2 pictures:
A little side note: Daddy and I sure enjoyed our mid-week study of Matthew...hmmm...maybe we'll have to keep driving up every Wed. for the study?? Hadn't been able to do that since our "pre-kid" days and boy what a treat it was!
