First Snow of the Season

No electricity, means no water and no heat and no phone for our home (and cold babies)...oh but wait, No school! Yippee... Electricity finally came on, which meant we didn't get to go hang out at Grandma's, afterall, but we had our share of fun at home.

Yuccas were covered, x-mas lights fell down w/the weight of the snow, our doggy disliked going out to potty, and my baby girl greeted the snow in her jammies!

No snowman, but plenty of snow-angels! Unforunately, the wind chill made it impossible to stay out for long periods of time, but thankfully it's lasted due to the low temps, so there were plenty of days that followed to play in it!

It's been refreshing to see each morning as I draw open the blinds! What a way to kick off the holidays and what a perfect excuse to drink as much hot chocolate-n-marshmellows as 2 little bodies can!

P.S. So, as 1 of 4 kids growing up, we didn't have the luxury of snow boots...my mom cleverly wrapped our shoes in bread bags and rubber bands! Well, this unexpected snow left my boy w/o any type of boot, so he got to exepience mom's childhood memories...only we moved up a notch...no bread bags, we double-wrapped and tied on WAL-MART shopping bags...
